Description
National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday that celebrates our democracy and was first observed in 2012. Nearly 4.7 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date, with different organizations, institutions, and volunteers across the country working together to bring awareness about the importance of voting every September. This voter registration event provides an interactive way to help students register to vote while also educating them about their local representatives and encouraging socializing and fun activities.
Join The Office of Civic and Voter Engagement for a fun-filled day of games, music, and more on September 17th, 2024, in the Student Center Ballrooms and on the Quad as we mark National Voter Registration Day in collaboration with the Office of Commuter Life. This national day serves as a crucial reminder of how important civic engagement is in maintaining our democratic process's strength and resilience. It reminds all citizens that it is our responsibility not just to participate but to use our voices effectively so our elected officials can address everyone's needs regardless of race or gender
