Phi Sigma Sigma

Phi Sigma Sigma

About

Phi Sigma Sigma was founded on November 26, 1913 at Hunter College in New York City. Phi Sigma Sigma was the first nonsectarian sorority, as our founders wanted to start a sorority that would promote open membership to all women of character regardless of background; a sorority committed to sisterhood, excellence in scholarship, and selfless giving.

The Epsilon Theta chapter was founded at Montclair State University's campus in 1988. We were the first national sorority at Montclair State. Our philanthropic cause is School and College readiness while partnering with the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, Make-a-Wish, and the American Heart Association.

Our Mission: To inspire the personal development of each sister and perpetuate the advancement of womanhood.

Our Vision: To be a dynamic sisterhood of powerful women fostering uncompromising principles, igniting positive change, and embracing individuality.
